Water Hero ("we", "our", "us") is a hydration-tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Water Hero mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Water Hero, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the app, and information from your device. This includes account details, hydration logs, app preferences, and technical data needed to keep the app running smoothly.
When you sign up or log in — via email/password, mobile OTP, or Google Sign-In — we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and a unique account identifier. This is used solely to create and secure your Water Hero account.
We automatically collect certain device information such as device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, app version, language settings, and crash/diagnostic logs. This helps us maintain app stability and fix bugs.
If you grant location permission, Water Hero uses your approximate location to personalize hydration goals based on local weather and climate. Location access is optional, used only while the app is in use, and can be revoked at any time from your device settings.
If you choose to set a custom profile photo, Water Hero may request camera access to let you take or select a picture. The camera is never accessed in the background, and photos are only used for the purpose you select within the app.
With your permission, we send hydration reminders, streak alerts, and achievement notifications to help you reach your daily goals. You can customize or disable notifications at any time from within the app or your device settings.
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls — to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. While no method is 100% secure, we work continuously to safeguard your information.
Water Hero may use trusted third-party services (such as Firebase/Google services for authentication, push notifications, and analytics) that process limited data on our behalf under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
You have the right to access, update, or correct your personal information at any time from within the app. You may also request a copy of your data or ask us to stop processing it by contacting us at the email below.
You can permanently delete your Water Hero account and associated data at any time from Profile → Settings, or by emailing us a deletion request. Once confirmed, your account and personal data are permanently removed from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe.
Water Hero is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can promptly remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will notify you of significant changes within the app or via the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
